Measures that can generate certifiable energy savings
Energy efficiency measures can generate savings eligible for certification when they are real, measurable, verifiable and supported by adequate documentation.
Standardised and bespoke measures
The CAE system covers standardised measures included in the official catalogue and bespoke measures requiring specific analysis. In both cases the central element is the annual final energy saving achieved and properly evidenced.
CERTIAE assesses each measure according to its type, available documentation, completion date, ownership of the saving and the feasibility of verification.
Types
Common measures with potential
- Improvements to the thermal envelope of buildings.
- Treatments or solutions applied to glazed façades and the non-opaque envelope, particularly in HardoLass-linked projects.
- Replacement or improvement of HVAC systems.
- Lighting renewal with efficient LED solutions.
- Higher-performance industrial equipment: motors, compressors, industrial heating or cooling.
- Transport, fleet or efficient mobility measures where the applicable requirements are met.
Preliminary criteria
What we check before going further
- The measure must generate a new final energy saving.
- The saving must be calculable and supported by documentation.
- There must be traceability between investment, execution, ownership and transfer of the saving.
- The measure must fit the dates and requirements of the applicable CAE framework.
- There must be no incompatible double counting of the same saving.
